Before our meeting the writers attended lunch in the Chinese
Restaurant at the Vincentia Golf Club with Diane Bestwick author of “and a bird
sang”. After lunch Diane spoke about her time in China and her experiences in
publishing her book.

Writing from words of
the day
Without shenanigans the writers used the words of the day to
write about - Scott Morrison, Donald Trump, Nerd, Given everything, The
bartender yelled, Who would have thought, Living with the in-laws, Never last
and Scroll on.
Six writers read out their homework on the topics - Three
more days of food, Background to the Rakhine State, the Karen refugees of
Burma, and a bird sang, A view of a tree and Economic refugees.
