Writing from the words of the day
The writers took the words of the day and produced the following creative stories and poems. Helene - A dress and a mosque, Elizabeth - The invitation, David - Our Malcolm, Diane - The young man, Lynne - Evening events, Pauline - I struggled,  Cath - The bracelet and Wendy - Two spoonful’s a day.

Reading of homework and other reading
Helene - Eggnog, Escargot and Eggplant, Pauline - Jack went to the Royal wedding, and David - Ellie the effervescent elephant.
In addition, David read his story about Darcy from Condobolin and Lost love. Wendy read out her poem Bah Humbug.

Christmas break 15 December 2016 to 3 January 2017
Bring a plate of food to share at our last meeting on Wednesday 14 December.
Be prepared to return to our writing group on Wednesday 4 January 2017.

Exercise 1 – The beads of sweat
We wrote a story starting “The beads of sweat” and finished with “Every clown has a silver lining”.
Helene – Santa is sick, Wendy – Win $100 to eat Brussel Sprouts, Cath – The wood pile, Pauline – Dam brats, Lynne – Hide among the balls, Diane – Sweat in the curry, David – The axe in his hands and Elizabeth – Something hidden.

Exercise 2 - An emotion, a teacher and an animal
Helene – Harry, blood and a bull terrier, Elizabeth – Are you my new owner? David – The vicar and the greyhound, Diane -  My Maths and History teacher, Lynne – Tell me pet, Pauline – Embarrassment and Cath – Miss Jenkins.
