Inveterate – ingrained

Admonished – reprimand or advise

Flotsam – wreckage of a ship or its cargo

Embodied – visualised, alive, personified, come to life

Philosophy – love wisdom Philo – Love & Sophia – wisdom

Transmogrified – change or altered with humorous effect

Jetsam – unwanted material or goods thrown overboard from a ship and washed ashore

Suzerainty – any relationship where one region controls foreign policy of a tributary state


Writing from words of the day

The writers wrote about - Chaotic week, Liar and Pastry.


Reading of homework

Three writers read out homework about – Will prison guards know the score, Deep Purple revisited and Getting lost in China.


Update from Hans Kieft on song writing project

Hans attended the meeting and suggested

  • The writers group work together develop a story using poems and stories
  • The writing group work to develop five or ten concept ideas
  • This is a long term project
  • Target audience 20 to 60 age group –Itune and Spotify users
  • Target the I- tune audience
  • Not financially worth while to make a CD
  • Hans would like to receive poems to make into lyrics
  • The writer will receive copyright

Hans played several songs based on poems written by Helene – which were brilliant.
