Discussion of financial matters
Decision to be made before the end of the financial year

The words of the day             
Esoteric – for select few

Valedictory – a farewell speech
Lousy – full of lice, very poor or bad

Graffiti – write or draw graffiti on something
Famulus – an assistant especially for a magician or scholar

Manslaughter – the crime of killing a human being without malice aforethought

Writing from words of the day
The writers wrote about - A scream, A collector, Insulting the audience, The circus down south, Clean up in Windsor and Have a say.

Reading of homework
The writers read out a diverse range of well constructed stories - A safe haven, Mother and child, The house who wanted to dance, Who’d be a hypocrite, My visit to Istanbul and When I was 17.

Exercise – Four meet in a bar

The four remaining writers created stories on the topics - Class options, At the Cooee bar, I’m tired and Frizz of excitement

Homework

Complete exercise 9 from page 104 - you could use this as your synopsis to send to publishers. For others write a story from the perspective of an inanimate object.




The Dancing House, or Fred and Ginger, is the nickname given to the Nationale-Nederlanden building in Prague, Czech Republic. It was designed by the Croatian-Czech architect Vlado Milunić in cooperation with Canadian-American architect Frank Gehry on a vacant riverfront plot. The building was designed completed in 1996.
