The words of the day

Prodigal – recklessly extravagant

Onomatopoeia – a word from a sound

Reconnaissance – explore, survey, investigate

Beglamoured – to impress or deceive with glamour

Writing from words of the day

The writers attached themselves to the words of the day and wrote about - The Opera House, In the jungle, Another of those situations, The gentle murmur, Don’t do it in bed, The oldies and Trump can boom or tweet.

Reading of homework

Four writers read out stories - Rather clean the yard, Something strange, Hungry beast, Rocket man & Trump and A progressive write.

Exercise using an action, person, item, texture, emotion and colour

The seven writers observed their immediate environment and wrote about - Ice on the golf club, A Coca Cola sign, The mouldy leather bag, Like the clear water in the bottle, A lonely glass of water on a tray, White drapes and Silver stars.

The six writers each started a story and others completed the story on the topics - Chippies, The paper was folded, Huskisson has plenty of food, In the cave, A holiday cruise and Culture in the street.
